A reminder of some events that are coming up in the next couple of months that need an RSVP to.
Firstly, on Sunday 10th November, the Sunshine Coast group are having a run which starts at Aussie World at 8.30am and travels to Caboolture for a BYO picnic morning tea. Then travelling to the Brisbane Motor Museum in Banyo to view the display of compact cars which includes some members Classic Mini's. There you will have lunch in the Museums Cafe before travelling as a group back to the Sunshine Coast. Museum cost is discounted to $21.25 per person, and if the numbers reach more than 20 it becomes $20 per person. Tables have been booked for a midday lunch so it is crucial that you reply via the web site.
Next is the Christmas Charity run in Brisbane which the group will travel to the workshop of the Care Kits for Kids workshop to have a morning tea with the volunteers of the charity. The run starts at 9.20am from the Lovewell Cafe, 155 Mt Gravatt Drive Mt Gravatt,which has splendid views of the city. As I said we then do a short run to the charity headquarters where we will have smoko, which is supplied, with the ladies. Once leaving there we travel to the Cleveland Tavern where we will have a nice sit down lunch. Again numbers are required for booking of the tables.
Next up is the annual Christmas get together for the members of the MOCQ. This year it is being held at the Monier Hotel, 168 Monier Rd Darra. Arrival time is 11.00am for pre lunch drinks and canapés and then a sit down meal. There will be raffles on the day and also a secret santa gift swap. All attendees can bring a gift to the value of $20, If you do not bring a gift you cannot take part in the gift swap. This is a ticketed event and tickets are available on the web site for $25 per head. Again numbers are important. This will be a fun day so get your tickets and come along.
Also a reminder that membership fees will be due from January 1st, you can renew through the web site, pay by a direct deposit to our Bank or for those who prefer send an e-mail or text to the Secretary and request a hard copy of the renewal form to be sent out to you.
